The Parents' Association is a not-for-profit organization that is made up of, you guessed it, parents of the Team members of both the Boys' and Girls' Teams. Our mission is to raise funds to offset the cost of fees accrued by gymnasts during the meet season. In addition we disburse 10% of our earnings towards scholarships to be used by team kids, rec kids and coaches. We raise those funds by organizing and holding several fund-raisers throughout the year. In the past these have included things like bottle drives, Cartwheel-A-Thons, Drop & Shop, as well as hosting meets at Gymnation, whereby the Parents' Association is responsible for (among other things) the concessions. No matter what the fund-raiser is though, one thing is constant – we need the help of all the team families in order to be successful. The more you get involved, the more we can do for our kids. In order to benefit from the Parents' Association, 3 forms of participation per team family (not per child) per year are required to qualify for allocation of funds. With each different fund-raiser comes a unique set of needs, and we'll let you know what those needs are so you can help out in whatever way you can. The more families that get involved, the better and easier it is for everyone. And hey, you just might have some fun along the way too. To keep up to date with the goings on of the Parents' Association (including when our meetings are held) please sign up to receive our email updates. It's easy to do, only takes a second, and we think you'll find them very informative and useful. We will not use the information you submit for any other purpose, it will only be used to communicate to you about Parent Association activities. |
